At MRP each individual is interviewed to determine the most effective way to assist them through their crisis/emergencies. Anyone who qualifies for services is served without regards to race, gender, ethnicity or religion.

MRP provides assistance through the following programs:

• Welfare Assistance
  MRP offers rental and utilities assistance for documented crisis and emergencies, MRP also provides assistance through the redistribution of clothing and household items, adult and crisis visitation, transportation assistance and disaster relief.
• Health Care
  The Shifa Mumineen Clinic is staffed with Board-Certified Physicians and Health Care Providers who volunteer their time and expertise with a commitment to provide an excellent comprehensive health care facility where members of the community can obtain quality individualized care in a compassionate, respectful and private environment.
• Zakat Disbursement
  MRP distributes received Zakat funds to qualified individuals in a judicious manner.
• Skills Acquisition Program (MRP-SAP)
  MRP launched its Skills Acquisition Program in June 2019 with the Funtastic Sewing Class Program in partnership with Dr. Kafilat Bidmus of FUNTASTIC STITCHING!! The Program offers free sewing classes to children between the ages of 11-14 years and 15-18 in the Houston Area. Participants acquire a life skill in a fun, informative and interactive environment.
• MRP Food Pantry
  The MRP Food Pantry provides food items to individuals and families who are in need of food assistance. Individuals and families are registered based on an assessment of their personal circumstances. The MRP Food Pantry depends on individual donations and financial contributions. During the special month of Ramadan, MRP hosts its Ramadan Food Box Distribution Program where special food boxes are prepared and distributed. MRP is committed to ensuring individuals and families who experiences a time of needing food assistance can readily access timely and appropriate assistance enough to see them through their time of need.
• Computer Resource Lab
  The MRP Computer Resource Lab provides free computer and Wi-Fi access for individuals to create resumes and/or update resumes, conduct on-line job searches and complete on-line job applications with onsite personnel assistance available. Prison Da’wah Aid: We support Prison Da’wah by providing aid items/materials.
• Special/Holiday Programs
  MRP hosts special / holiday programs such as our Prison Da'wah Aid Program where we provide Aid items/materials to prisons. We also partnered with T-Mobile for our Back-to-School Backpack Program where kids are given free backpacks and school supplies for the new school year.
